A Day of Comfort, Hope, and Healing for Bereaved Parents
Christ the King Parish, Mashpee, MA
Saturday, October 21st, 2023 ~ 9:00-3:00
Join us for an opportunity to connect with other bereaved parents to explore how to regain a sense of hope in the midst of suffering. The day will include prayer, quiet reflection, presentations, small group discussions, journaling, and Mass. The cost for the day is $40 per person and lunch is included. Scholarships available upon request. Seating is limited to 25 registrants; registration closes on Saturday October 7th.

A faith-sharing group for those who mourn, Seasons of Hope has 4 six weeks “seasons” that offer Christ-centered material using scripture, prayer, reflection activities, and faith-sharing. This program is in Catholic parishes across America. Seasons of Hope is a free parish-based program.

Certified Grief Educator Donna Erdman
Donna has been a parishioner at Christ the King parish since 2009. She volunteered as a faith formation teacher for 8 years. She also volunteered as an extraordinary minister to the sick at Spaulding Cape Cod for over 9 years. In 2017 Donna was hired by Fr. Healey to coordinate pastoral care to the sick and homebound of Christ the King parish.
Donna began the “Seasons of Hope” faith-based bereavement program at Christ the King in 2018 and became a Certified Grief Educator in 2021 trained by world-renowned grief expert, David Kessler. A Certified Grief Educator is committed to providing the highest level of grief support through education, experience, and insights into the often-unacknowledged rocky terrain of grief. Donna brings David’s unique methodology, tools, and decades of experience to help people navigate the challenges of grief.

A requisite sliding scale fee is required for individual grief support.
