Thrift Shop
Care in the Name of Christ

MISSION STATEMENT
The Clothing Center is a ministry of Christ the King Parish. We are committed to serving the needs of the community through the distribution and sale of used clothing and household items of good quality at very low prices.
All are welcome to come and shop. Proceeds are used to benefit the works of our own St. Vincent de Paul Society in giving financial aid to the needy, maintaining the food pantry, and helping wherever needed.
The Shop is staffed entirely by volunteers who dedicate their time in a spirit of friendship and caring for one another and the community in which we serve.

Who We Are
Shoppers in the Upper Cape communities of Mashpee, Cotuit, Sandwich, Falmouth and beyond depend on the Christ the King Parish Thrift Shop for good value in men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, linens, housewares, and furniture. The Shop is open Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 10-3. No Donation after noon time.
On any day, a shopper can expect to find a wide selection of fashionable, gently used clothing of good quality. Selected items such as outerwear, slacks, or knit tops are on sale at 50% off each week.
If you do not see something you are looking for, ask one of our friendly volunteers. They are happy to assist you.

Volunteering
Volunteers staff the Center and fill all positions with skill, kindness, and patience. Volunteers work a 2 1/2 hour shift, either 10 AM to 12:30 PM or 12:30 PM to 3 PM one day a week, Tuesday through Saturday. A typical volunteer chooses a convenient day, either a morning or afternoon shift and report every week at the same time.
Some of the volunteer work includes pricing items, cashiering, assisting customers and answering their questions. These things are accomplished in an atmosphere of camaraderie and friendship. You will see many smiling faces when you visit the Center.
We are always looking for volunteers, both men, and women with the ability to move heavy items with ease. If you’re a teen looking for service hours or a young adult who has a need to give to the community, this may be a call for you!
