Certified Grief Educator Donna Erdman

Donna and her family began attending Christ the King parish in 2009. Working in healthcare she volunteered as an extraordinary minister to the sick at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Cape Cod. Donna was hired to coordinate the ministry to the sick and homebound of the parish in 2017. Identifying the parish’s need for a faith-based bereavement group in 2018 Donna initiated and began facilitating the Seasons of Hope group. She has trained peer facilitators from the group who now offer it four times per year. Donna has completed training as a Certified Grief Educator and is available for presentations and 1:1 grief support, a sliding scale fee is available for these services.

Donna developed and coordinates the parish’s Mental Health Ministry under the guidance of the Diocese of Fall River with whom she completed Mental Health First Aide and Companionship training. She was instrumental in developing the parish’s mental health ministry webpage and a bi-monthly Faith Sharing Group for parishioners which she co-facilitates with other trained Mental Health Ministry team members. Donna and the team are available for individual support to those in need of spiritual companionship.

Donna has a Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy, received training in Pastoral Care of the Sick and Homebound through the Archdiocese of Boston and has earned a Graduate Certificate in Catholic Theology from Saint Joseph College of Maine. Donna is currently in training to become a Spiritual Director.

A requisite sliding scale fee is required for individual grief support.
