Youth Faith Formation
At Christ the King Parish we have a nine-year program from grades 1 through 9 with the completion of Christian Initiation into the Church through the Sacrament of Confirmation in the 9th grade. The Catechists come totally from the membership of our parish, under the direction of, Jane Costello, our Faith Formation Director.

LENT ~ begins February 18, 2026
We’re thrilled to share this year’s Kid’s Lent Challenge for the whole family – The Miracle Hunters!
Starting Ash Wednesday, February 18, join us in this prayer challenge for the whole family featuring special guests, Sr. Miriam, Fr. John Nepil, Katie and Tommy McGrady from Family Mass Prep, Tanner and Alli Kalina, & more!
We’ll follow the story of some of our favorite Saints Alive characters – Mia, Paul, Brad, and Grace – as they make it their mission to become “miracle hunters,” learning all about real miracles and growing in their faith along the way this Lent. Through prayer, fasting, giving, and a lot of fun, they’ll discover that even though miracles sometimes don’t happen the way we want or expect, God is always answering our prayers.
Teen Lent Challenge, “Lent 180,” from LifeTeen! We’ll reflect on the Gospel with Mark Hart, dive deep into the lives of the Saints with Sr. Josephine Garrett, take on fasting challenges & hear short homilies from Fr. Frankie Cicero!

PREPARING FOR ADVENT
This past Sunday, November 23rd the children in Faith Formation made Advent wreaths for their families.
The children excitedly took their decorated wreaths, with candles and prayer cards, home to their families to welcome in the beautiful tradition of Advent.
Father Healey was kind enough to visit each classroom to bless their wreaths.
